The new Ben Mulroney show (national topics segment) debuts tonight on CKNW at 6:00 p.m.--eleven hours after it was originally broadcast on Toronto's 640 AM at 10:00 a.m. ET, 7:00 a.m. PT. So when major national news stories break throughout the day, as far as us in the Pacific Time zone are concerned, Mulroney and his guests will have nothing to say about them.

"We are thrilled to welcome Ben to our daytime lineup of programming, and believe listeners will love this new dynamic program,” said National Director, Talk Radio, Mike Bendixen. A show starting at 6:00 p.m. on CKNW isn't really part of a daytime lineup and some of the dynamism is lost when the show is a re-broadcast eleven hours old.

I thought radio was supposed to be an up-to-date medium. Corus puts on a new national show which for listeners in the Pacific Time Zone is really akin to a "newspaper of the air."

As expected, this entitled son of another dishonest Prime Minister gets a lackey job. Listened to the first half hour, up until he offered up his fake outrage over Montreal protestors. This guy lacks credibility, and is a lightweight (at best) talk show host. What are those idiots at Corus thinking.

As stated elsewhere, Ben Mulroney is the priviledged son of Lyin' Brian Mulroney, one of the worst, most deceitful, Canadian Prime Ministers of all time.

When thinking of Mulroney, think of Karl Heinz Schreiber, and tawdry, brown paper bags. filled with filthy money.

A lightweight, harmless, simpleton, boooooorring yes man,(indeed) better suited to daytime or breakfast television, such as CTV Canada AM, than his own stinkin' radio show.

How nice ? Recycling (regurgitating) a stale, sh*thole, 11 hour old radio show on CKNW.

Why the 11 hour delay. So to remove and censor all objectionable comments made by him? (that is, if there are any ?)

The show will likely get cancelled, faster than you can say "karl heinz schrieber is a NAZI" 100 times. Okay, you can fart now, but don't stink up the control room ?

But there’s a bright side for NW listeners. Hearing Mike Smyth and especially Keith Baldrey drone on about Trump’s tariffs (and no they won’t stay at 25%) brings me joy. Those two lefties...and I used to like Smyth...will never get over the Don’s big win.
