Pamela (aka Timothy M.) Burge passes at 79

From Jolly John Tanner ...

With great regret, I must inform you of the passing of Pamela Burge, early this morning in Kelowna. My long time radio pal had been dealing with serious health problems for the past number of years. I will dearly miss "that nice older person" and our many conversations about music, life and the pursuit of happiness.
My condolences to family and friends.

After a year or so of being a Boss Jock at CKLG, Tim left to do the 8PM to Midnight shift at CJOR playing "Progressive Rock" on a station that was playing "Middle Of The Road: music the other 20 hours of the day.

The experiment didn't last very long after new CJOR owner Jim Pattison popped in one evening and came across this long haired "hippie" surrounded by albums behind the mic. The one memory of Tim's time at CJOR that
I recall is hearing "See Emily Play" by Pink Floyd for the first time.

Years later when Tim and I worked together at CFMI, he gave me his old "CKLG Boss Jock Timothy M Burge" jacket". The jacket remains in my collection of Radio memorabilia.

R.I.P. "Nice Older Person" ...
