Sigh. Poor Rochelle. Taken too soon.
The fine Steve Herringer is doing the IDs.

Who was the voice of "The Boss" on the Broadcast Anywhere on a Dare promo? And were Joe and The Rocket able to actually make the stunt work despite her illness? (She certainly sounds energetic on the promo). Elsewhere on this site is an aircheck of Russ Hamilton and Glen Lamont teamed in mornings from November 21 of 1991. I recall being told after the fact that their show debuted on or around Remembrance Day (which would have beena Monday) that year.

Tracy Gemmell sounds a lot like Tracy Mills, so I assume she got married soon into her CHRX tenyur? Either that or decided to make a spontaneous name change. I recall her filling in for Sharyn Graham on JR Country the following summer, and thinking how similar both of their voices sounded.

I believe the spelling of Tracey's last name is Gemmill, and yes, she's been on-air with the names of Tracey Mills, Pepper Mills and probably one or two others over the years she was active in radio. Such a wonderful person with a joyous smile and buoyant attitude & spirit, I always enjoyed working with her.

Thank you, g w.

I've updated the spelling of Tracey Gemmill on the soundcloud post.

Tracey told me she was saddled with the "Pepper" name at Z, and it wasn't quite her idea.

Evidently old age is catching up with me as I don't remember her using "Gemmill" at CHRX.

She's a bright and knowledgeable woman.

I wish I could answer DT's question. I thought it was John Beaudoin.
