From the RadioWest aircheck archives -

Long-time Calgary radio announcer, Brian "Hurricane" Smith and the CISS Morning Crew from a Thursday morning in May 1991. Jamie "The Coach" Herbison has sports, Captain Kirk (Al Molnar) with traffic and news from Steve Brown. The station format was a blend of information/talk programming and oldies music. Larry King's program aired nightly along with Jim Bohannon on weekends.

Former CISS morning man, Kelly Latremouille, left the station not that long before this aircheck.

In the following year, 1140 CISS AM would undergo a format change to Classic Rock as 1140 The Fox, the end of Charles Adler's "Hot Talk" morning talk show and the nightly "Hot Sports" talk show with Jamie Herbison and Don Chapman. Not long after that Moffat would sell the station to Golden West.

Brian is currently a part-time announcer at Corus Calgary and a voice over artist - http://www.brianhurricanesmith.com/
