Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who couldn't hear the music.

For the first several years of Randy Bachman’s Vinyl Tap, Denise did research and often shared CBC Radio mic time with her husband.

After the couple split in summer 2011, Randy’s son Tal (from his first marriage) took over the research. And, unlike his stepmom, does not speak on air.

An American, Denise moved back to California. But makes annual trips back to Vancouver to join other musicians in celebrating Khatsilano Days. Now as then, a terrific lead singer and harmonist. She fronted the first edition of Headpins before Darby Mills joined bassist Ab Bryant, drummer Bernie Aubin and the late guitarist/keyboardist Brian ‘Too Loud’ MacLeod.
