Tim Hitchner died on February 12, 2011. He was heard in Lethbridge on 1090 CHEC, Taber on 1570 CKTA and in Vernon on CJIB/CKIZ.

From January 1987, here's Tim hosting the all request 1 pm hour on Taber's "Sun Country" 1570 CKTA. CKTA was using TM America's Country jingles, which were also used by CFAC Calgary and CISN Edmonton.

As soon as I heard Tim's first few words on this aircheck, I instantly thought this sounds like Ernie Scar of Brockett 99 fame. Then I read the wiki post and confirmed my thought.

I'd heard Brockett 99 was done at the CHEC studios but never had that confirmed.

Thanks for posting!
