As I don't know anything about his huge files, there's not much I can speak about it. Therefore, let us speak of something else.

I held my own Celebration of Life for Mike the other night at the Fountainhead. The last time we were there we drank, solved all of radio's problems, drank some more, and solved them again. And we chatted about Kelowna and Walt Gray and Jack Bews and the Brownes and Nick Frost and Jim Yount and a pile of people one or another of us knew. It's always nice to reminisce because you're not far away from a funny story about something that happened at some station.

Mike really loved radio. He really disliked what it had become because of people who ran radio but didn't love it. That's probably no secret to anyone who has been around here for any length of time.

He told me was blessed and fortunate he was in a relationship that made him happy.

There's not much else to be said. It's sad we won't be able to have one more together at the pub.

Jack, my suggestion is whoever has access to the files uploads them to archive.org where they can remain, in theory, for posterity.

Might you mean Wayne Williams, who was with the Port Moody Fire Department?
