Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who couldn't hear the music.

They come out December 5th, along with the rest of the major/PPM markets.

Is it just me, or does it seem like, for a city with less than 200,000 people, Kelowna has way too many radio stations?
And I hear they want to put another one in Cranbrook??

Like Red Deer, Kelowna is over radioed. Luckily, most operators in Kelowna have at least two stations, so resources can be shared. Would The Juice still be on the air today if it couldn't
import V/T'ing from other Vista stations? I'm sure most of it's copy and production are done elsewhere in the chain. I've heard from retailers that they are almost giving away spots in a
desperate attempt to get some cash flow.

Other than giving Pattison some competition in Cranbrook, there is no reason for a third station there. What service could someone possibly offer that the locals aren't already getting
elsewhere?

Speaking of the Juice...looks like they are in search of yet another on air talent. Can't they keep anyone?
And with another dismal book for them...there HAS to be a format change coming...right? RIGHT?

Does The Juice really have an existence in Kamloops?

All the markets should be "over radioed". It makes for healthy competition and it forces owners to put out a decent product.

...to a point. You risk spreading ad dollars too thin, which in turn cuts operating budgets. You only have to look at some of the US towns of 50,000 with 6 stations to see how that sounds.

That 6 station market would have two or more likely one owner. That's the difference between US and Canada...

Right. So, it's even easier to get "over-radio"ed in Canada, since the overhead per station is higher.
