Updated to include CJNW Hot 107 which wasn't included on the initial BBM posting.

Where's Mr. Research's Hot 107? I thought I'd read that they started encoding their signal last summer. You'd think Harvard would like to see just what it was they bought and if it indeed had any
listeners.

Very interesting...although not surprising.

It's no wonder he sold it when he did then. I seem to recall him bragging in his little monthly fish wrapper newsletter that the station
had a huge audience and a whole lot of other bs. The real numbers tell a very different story.

I'm holing a tin with a string attatched to it and I'm hearing Steve Miller's "Take The Money And Run".

I trust his research more than BBM.

What I find particularly interesting here is the slow but steady come back of Joe FM. I've always liked the station and not much has changed in the last few years about it except the landscape around it. People have tried Up, Capital and Now and a few are coming back to Joe. I'm really annoyed by Up because they went all christmas and Now is good but kind of trendy and only does well because the CHR pie is sliced 3 ways. I think Joe will continue on a slow upward trend and appeal to Gen X crowd as they get older.

My other thoughts are I see a slow decline of Ched, and judging by the numbers coming in from the other Corus markets, especially Vancouver, I think you will start to see some fundamental programming changes at the Corus radio network.

Has CHED been below a 10.0 before today?

On second thoughts ...

Perhaps after 18 months, the "Lack of Gord Whitehead" effect is setting in.

Lite95 however is trending nicely according to those numbers. Nothing but upward, and kudos to it's programmers.

...don't count on it... ratings ebb and flow like the tide... and by the way--QR77 is #1 overall in Calgary... only station in double digits...

...nice position to be in, when you're the only station in that format... still can't fathom the old EZ Rock walking away from a 7.3 share just one year ago...
