:tonguewaving: Look at CISL ! Snapping dentures on the boot-heels of JRFM. The Peak is still sliding slowly but surely into False Creek. When will Jimmy dump the ass-clown running the show on 8th and put a sucessful 2010 programming team together? If they weren't the only game in town...but hold on, there is that interwebby thing now.

Dennis Skulsky and David Braley must be kicking themselves.

BossRadio your comments make me sad.

Peak slide .2% on one PPM, what +2, snapshot and its time to "dump the ass-clowns?"

Chart out their ratings on a graph and the arrows trends up up up up up. And there are radio stations in the market going down down down and below them in the ratings... so maybe those "ass-clowns" need the shake up.

if you don't like Mother Mother, that's fine, change the station.

Destro, old soul. Sorry for your sadness. I should have indicated that my comments were mostly directed at the continually mediocre performance on the city's lone country stick, JRFM. As for the PEAK, it is what is is, until the red ink overflows on 8th.

Really, a continuous slide? Then the 5.8 was part of a continuous rise then?

JR's been probably the most constant performer in the market for a few years now, and is as big as one could expect a Country station to be in a market with the demographic makeup of Vancouver.

This sounds personal.

Looks like CTV [CHUM Group] is now the solid winner in Vancouver with 24% of the market
CORUS is number two with 20.4
ROGERS number three with 17.1
CBC fourth with 12.1
ASTRAL number five with 9.9
and in last spot PATTISON GROUP with 7.8

Christmas music has paid off big for QM-FM again this year. Who's to blame for FUN FM's failed attempt at Christmas, was it local or national?

Corus has finally got a full 1.0 share for AM 730, but ROCK 101 and CFOX are both in big trouble. Combined, they barely have the audience that JACK has.

THE SHORE and THE PEAK are both down a tad, did they each lose a bit to QM's Christmas music or has the boredom factor set in?

It'll be interesting to see if QM can hang on to the listeners they picked up over the holiday season.

Will the post holiday tweaking get FUN FM back on track? Where's the new afternoon person they was advertising for?

There was what sounded like a kid during the holidays, but I guess he didn't make the cut.

I'm sure Skulsky & Braley of the BC Lions can't be pleased with the abysmal number posted by their flagship station, Team 1410, CFTE.

Who cares what the ratings are for the flagship station? The diehard fans know where to find the games along with the long pre and post game shows that no station with ratings and listeners would bother giving up the airtime for. The Lions pretty much own 1410, what could be better? If the games were on NW, how much of NW's aged audience would stick around for the game? Little or none.

Skulsky and Braley should be more concerned about filling the stands at BC Place. Most nights they're lucky to fill 35 - 40% of the seats. Besides the dismal attendance, maybe they should spend a bit more time worrying about the product Wally baby has on the field.

I guess you never saw the ratings for NW versus 1410 during Lions post game. NW just barried 1410 in numbers during a post game time slot. The Lions have made a tremendous mistake is sticking with the all sports format.

Given the Lions have been with the "all sports format" for, what, 6,7,8 years on 1040...indicates they're happy with it.

This has nothing to do with post-game numbers for the Lions. This has to do with talking about and raising awareness of their product for the week-long period between games. That's why the Lions stay with the 1040/1410 split. NW, simply due to its format style, cannot do that...and given that the Lions didn't even give NW the chance to pitch to them shows the Lions are happy with what they currently have, radio-wise.
