The one person I remember fondly from my days and nights at CFUN was Eva. She really cared about how we were doing.

Paul Preston....who helped me so much when I first came west.....Al Jordan....a wonderful man at CJOR....Hal R

od....Anyone got any news about Hal Wardell? I can't look myself...he took me in when I came to CKVN....I have all these people in my book I'm working on....they were a part of my life....

I'll add more if this subject goes beyond

Papa Al Jordan hired me at CFUN to do the 6am to noon shift on Sundays, which eventually turned into 2 weekend all-nighters while I was going to BCIT. Paul Preston was great! Al Jordan was the best radio boss anyone could ask for. I remember getting a really sore throat my first Christmas at CFUN and couldn't work. Al had to come down in my place that day. I think I still feel guilty about that.

And ask yourself the question: who amongst us wouldn't turn down a job at CFUN to work at CFLD in Burns Lake? How could I resist?

Jerry Steen did a few weeks (months?) at the now defunct Breeze. I think he owns a Starbucks somewhere in Calgary.

Here's answers to a few of Mona's queries

Johnnie Walker died of cancer back in '93 or '94.

Colleen Troy is V/T'ing for numerous Rogers stations out of Vancouver.

Ray Grover is doing mornings at B 107.3 in Victoria.

Last we heard Rick Mitchell was folding boxes and stacking them in the window at Chicken On The Way on 14th Street in Calgary.

Rita Woodman is based in the BC Lower Mainland doing movie and v/o work.

Colleen is also doing afternoon drive on CLEAR-FM, and will be filling in for Fred and Cathy while they're in Maui.

Jerry Steen has been doing afternoons live (and voice tracking assorted other shifts) on Edmonton's Magic 99 since they went on the air a year ago. There was talk of Jerry moving from Calgary to Edmonton, but I didn't hear if it actually happened.

Terry Evans has retired from Radio.
