Martin Steven's version of this song was the most popular in Canada. John Paul Young had a hit with Love is In The Air almost everywhere else but in Canada his song only peaked at #26. Martin Steven's version actually was released a couple of weeks prior and was already established on charts across Canada, at #21 on the RPM chart. In spite of this many stations played both versions eventually which likely impacted the success of both songs. But of the two Martin Steven's version of this song was the most popular in Canada airplay and sales wise, and according to many comments on Youtube the better of the two. I agree.
