Sweet Love Bandit was the final Stampeders single to get released in the U.S.
Like Billboard-charting predecessor Hit The Road Jack, 'Bandit' came out on the brief-lived American imprint of Canadian-based Quality Records. The band, at times with Ronnie King the only original member, switched to Apex in Canada by 1979.
The original trio of bassist King, guitarist Rich Dodson and drummer Kim Berly eventually reunited and continue as a popular draw on the retro-rock circuit.
