To my ears, Beyond The Clouds and this followup What Can The Matter Be were the best sounding Poppy Family tracks. Both produced by Terry Jacks at the modestly-equipped Vancouver Recording and R & D studios respectively.

Some social issues mentioned in What Can The Matter Be still remain. With the growing number of North American states and provinces decriminalizing marijiana, less chance these days of people getting "six months in jail for just smoking pot."

Reportedly on the mend from two strokes in as many years, perhaps Terry could tweak and modernize the lyrics for a re-recording or cover version of this marvellous song.
