In 1979, CIMG-FM Swift Current signed on 94.1 MHz with 100,000 watts. By 1995, they had racked up three short-term license renewals for failing to properly maintain a collection of logger tapes. The next year, Golden West Broadcasting bought both stations, quickly switching CIMG to The Eagle with a mix of pop and rock from the past four decades.
