In 1933, many North American stations changed frequencies. An even bigger mass frequency change occurred on March 29, 1941, when all but a few North American radio stations were effected.

In 1985, CKDA/CFMS-FM founder David M. Armstrong died at age 65, and his wife Sheridan inherited the stations.
