Jack took the show with him back to his home town of Baltimore in 1957, to WITH. And soon was cutting tapes that were aired on WLEE Richmond and WUST Washington. In 1962, he moved to WWIN Baltimore, then WMEX Boston in 1963. His longest stay and most influential work was at WAYS in Charlotte, North Carolina, where his morning show commanded huge ratings until he was transferred to sister station WAPE Jacksonville, Florida in 1970. He also won The Bill Gavin award for Program Director of the year in 1969, and Billboard's first ever Disc Jockey of the Year award in 1970. Jack is currently retired after financial problems closed WEEL Dothan, Alabama, which he bought, turned into an Oldies station and did the morning show.

In 1965, radio announcer Gil Newsome passed away. He is best known for his years at KSD and KWK St. Louis, Missouri.
In 1968, CKYL Peace River increased night-time power to 10,000 watts, after increasing power in the day to 10,000 watts in 1965. The station began in 1954 with 1000 watts on 630 KHz, but soon moved to 610 KHz, allowing CHED Edmonton to move from 1080 to 630 KHz. An FM repeater in Peace River was added in 2006.
In 1979, CJCD Yellowknife signed on to 1240 KHz with 1000 watts. It was owned by the family of Charles A. Dent, who originally obtained the license, until its sale to Vista in 2007, a decade after moving to FM, on 100.1 MHz with 400 watts.
