In 1993, at 5:30 a.m., John Novak (of KGA Spokane and CKXL Calgary fame) started his regular AM Drive gig at the legendary CKOC Hamilton, Ontario. It was the first time in 13 1/2 months that the station could use those call letters, after management foolishly changed them to CKMO the previous year, and listeners complained bitterly. But it was still "Oldies 1150".
