Human Radio Receiver

From an interview with writer Gene Stone:

Q: What’s the wackiest thing you’ve ever done in the name of health journalism?
A: I put a contraption on my head that was supposed to create alpha waves, to immediately generate a meditative state. But instead, for some reason, I ended up picking up, on my own, in my head, a local radio station. No kidding. I’ve done candling, rebirthing—

Which brings us to all those "stories" about people whose tooth fillings acted as radio receivers that allowed them to "hear" local stations in their heads.
Again, how can you "prove" that this happened, unless you can scan their brain waves and identify the "radio signals" separately from the other brain waves?
Seems to me, this fits in well with the "I was abducted by aliens and probed etc. stories that show up on the radio programs hosted by the Art Bells of the world.

I guess the same way I "proved" that I received signals from stations all over north america... Have them do a QSL request... after writing down the songs, commercials, times etc... and check it against the station log. Of course they'd have to do it in a controlled situation to make sure they had no tiny receivers in their hearing aids or whatever. :-)

Has anyone heard music in their ears? I have, but didn't get any verifications.

Must have been all in my ears.

Perhaps what you heard Doug was the "parade to the post" bugle when you used to live across the street from the track. Maybe we can track down Mr. Ed to send you a verification. :excited:
