Fire destroys KOFI 1180 Kalispell, MT TX Site

Here are some pictures from our devastating fire early Saturday morning at our KOFI am tower fire building, as you can see is a total loss, our engineers have been working very hard to get 1180 back up on a low power transmitter, hopefully that will happen soon, in the meantime continue to listen to KOFI on 104.3 fm

The reason for the rapid return to air at 30 watts on AM was because the FM Translator was not allowed to remain on the air if the AM was off the air for a relatively short (48 hours?) period of time.

The towers and ATU (Antenna Tuning Unit) were not damaged, only the contents of the building shown.
