Thanks to Justaprairieguy for sharing these with us!
Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who couldn't hear the music.

The voice you hear in the contest promo is Tom Brown, then the morning host, currently the weatherman at CTV Toronto.

And the first two answers are "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet" and "Philadelphia Freedom."

(I miss Saturday night Name That Tune.)

Just a couple notes about CJME at the time.

- The newscaster, Murray Wood, is still with CJME as the news director.

- You can hear the limitations of the 1300 frequency... as soon as you got any distance away from Regina the signal would often have an annoying flutter in the background which was worse some days than others. I remember many times at night CJME would be almost impossible to listen to due to the background flutter and signal weakness, and I lived in an area of rural Saskatchewan which was easily served 24 hours a day by the Regina stations.

- I'm sure CJME doesn't miss 1300... but 13 CJME just rolls off the tounge so much easier than 980 CJME.
