Great memories listening to the KZZU montage.

For many of us who were teenagers at the time, 93 ZOO FM was the only way to hear CHR on FM. The original breakfast boys and tunes in FM Stereo via cable . . . that would be the '80s. Before 92.9 KREM FM became KZZU, the choice was 98Q FM (KHQ) which didn't even put up a fight against ZOO FM. Wasn't long before they became 98 KISS FM (KISC).

Some of that jingle package was also used by AM 106, particularly the top of the hour musical bed.

Yeah, that brought back memories for me. I used to use alligator clips attached to the cable and connect it to the FM antenna of my radio. It was great times listening in to Rick Dees on the weekends or the Breakfast Boys during the week. :)

The ZOO seemed to be a favorite in numerous stores and restaurants in Calgary throught much of the 80's.

I was never a big fan of Spokane TV, maybe it was the time difference, but my FM tuner was always on THE ZOO unless I was airchecking a Calgary station.
