Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who couldn't hear the music.

It's been trending this way for a while, but it finally happened. Wild 95.3 beat Country 105 in 25-54, 5.8 to 4.6.

The folks at Pattison seem to have great success with Country. I think the glory days that started with Greg Haraldson as PD are over for Country 105.

Pattison's JR FM in Vancouver had great gains in this period also.

Whoever is running the Corus FMs in Alberta seems intent on destroying the brands, and they're doing a good job of it.

I don't recall seeing numbers that low for either 105.1 or 107.3. Maybe back in their early launch days in 1982? Nice time for Corus to try to sell stations in a down economy and three properties heading lower in the ratings.

Maybe if Robin LaRose could think back to his time in Calgary at KIK FM 107 and remember that it ain't the Calgary Police Department, that's in Vancouver and its VPD. And Willy and his gang could actually speak about Calgary in credible terms about what's happening here they might actually keep some listeners for Q-107. TV ads saturating your sister station are not the same as actually showing up in the market and being visible and present.

Hint - it's CPS, the Calgary Police Service

Aaron, a while back, commented about Edmonton's 92.5 the Chuck being the lowest rated commercial FM in Canada or something like that either here or on sowny . . . Seems AMP Radio in Calgary is now even lower. Is the Breeze gonna blow into Calgary soon?

Nice work by the folks at Pattison. I feel vindicated after pointing at 105.1 for many years as deserving a worthy competitor in the market. Still think "Wild" is a stupid name though.

I'm gonna renew my Sirius/XM subscription. They seem to have opened up the music library and added to the playlists of their stations.

Q's even lower than AMP in 25-54. Breeze would be tricky, as it would eat into XL.

It's just not a great time to be the "second CHR" in any market right now while the music cycle is in a rut.
