Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who couldn't hear the music.

Hey News1130!! More NEWS, sports and business... less infotainment please. Just like the days when you had a 6 share.
Houston, We're dealing with morons!.

News 1130, CKWX--start your newscasts at the top and bottom of the hour with news, not three minutes of headlines, traffic and weather. If listeners are tuned in to News 1130 just prior to the top or bottom of the hour, we are anticipating hearing full details of the top story right at the beginning of the newscast. Making us wait for three minutes before you tell the story only encourages us to switch to CKNW where we know we'll get the full story right at the beginning of the newscast. Traffic and weather can wait until after the news.

You've been stuck in this headline/traffic/weather rut at the beginning of your newscasts for far too long. It's no wonder your ratings are slipping.

I totally agree with the comments above about News 1130. Way too much non-news clutter. The station has lost it's successful focus that it had for many years. No need to tune in 3, 4 or 5 times a day anymore.

I wonder if Stingray is re-thinking the changing of LG 104.3 to The Breeze? Before the change last Christmas, everywhere I went, stores and offices had LG 104.3 playing. Those same places have reverted back to QM-FM or JACK, I have yet to hear The Breeze in any retail business or professional office. The Breeze format appears to be working in Edmonton, but as for Vancouver, it's a dud.

Although Edmonton has two Hot AC stations, there is nothing like QM here. Which leaves The Breeze to stand out on its own in Edmonton.

As you know, these numbers are irrelevant when it comes to commercial stations. Despite that, I cannot help but see that Jack followed by to a smaller extent Rock 101 as the primary beneficiaries with loss of LG 104.3, at least with the posted numbers here. I sense that for a number of years QM FM, with little or no competition, has been a very profitable station in Vancouver. Stingray saw the format change as an opportunity to eat into the old QM FM near monopoly.
