Sinking Ship

Postby phukurnutz » Thu Sep 20, 2007 9:07 pm

Somethings a miss at the MBS stations on PEI. People are resigning like crazy including the PD and both mornings personalities.

What gives? Rumor has it promised raises are not forthcoming and staff has decided it's time to move on to a higher paying job that offers a microcosm of dignity like head fry cook at the Mickey D's. Sad and unfortunately!

Good people being treated like garbage by a company and owner who has no right being in the radio business. Come to think of it that sounds like par for the course, most owners are in the media game for the wrong reasons.

At a time when profits are higher than ever, moral in the industry is at an all time low.

 So sorry to see the migration underway at MBS, but this IS a company with a coast to coast reputation for being both miserly and anal from the executive suite on down.

Seems the stations are now thinking of joining a union.

It's not even thinking..they are. It's going to be a real shit show there for awhile. I'm sure Robert Pace had a stroke when he found out about that!

Two more resignations today. Looks like Pace might get his way and have a station totally controlled by computers.
