Canadian actress Jessica Lucas has landed a plum assignment: she is joining the cast of the hit CBS show CSI: Crime Scene Investigation as a recurring character.
Lucas, born and raised in Vancouver, will play "Ronnie," a young, smart new recruit who chooses to join the crime lab in Las Vegas because of an increase in crime there, according to the Hollywood Reporter, an industry publication.

Lucas began acting at age seven, training with the Children's Arts Theatre School in Toronto. After appearing in many stage productions, she became a series regular on the Canadian teen show Edgemont
