Let me get this straight.
After 12 years on the air, the Rogers Brand Manager or whatever the title is these days at JACK Calgary fires 1/2 of the morning show in July 2015, but keeps the producer and the newsie and brings in an out of towner to join them.
Then the Brand Manager gets rid of the newsie but keeps the producer and the out of towner.
Then gets rid of the out of towner and the producer and takes four months to put 1 of the 4 from the fired morning show back on the air after nearly 3 1/2 years.
Same Brand Manager also allowed the station to go on auto-pilot 24 hours a day for nearly 3 months before giving Rick Sadler some additional on air work in the Rogers Calgary Cluster to temporarily give a live voice to the JACK morning show. It's contest time, after all.
No shot at Rick. He's a seasoned veteran, well-known in Calgary for his time at AM 106, who ably anchored a morning show in Winnipeg (Hot Country FM 104).
And the National Brand Manager or are they a National PD were doing what? Coaching? Who? Certainly no one on air and obviously not the local Brand Manager.
The bunch of them are allowed to do this kind of skilled leadership work for over 3 1/2 years?
Helluva deal.
