They might actually make it to air before the second anniversary of the approval of their application by the CRTC. The license was granted on May 12, 2012.
It has taken longer to launch 95.3 FM than Rawlco took to launch 96.9 FM in Calgary. Rawlco had approval on August 16, 1994 and it wasn't until June 3, 1996 that it hit the air.
Too bad the Peak didn't launch at the same time as a bunch of new Save On Foods stores opened in Calgary. It probably would have been some good intra-corporate partnering between Pattison divisions.
