The station was originally launched in 2003 as a rebroadcaster of Lloydminster's CKLM [The Goat]. On September 28, 2007, It officially became a separate station with local studios and
programming. In November of 2008, the CRTC approved the sale of the stations to Vista Broadcast Group. In early 2009 Vista changed the stations name from 'The Goat' to 'The Wolf' and
adopted a country music format.
Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who couldn't hear the music.
