The Coach returns to Calgary
Calgary’s most successful morning show is back
For 17 years they woke up Calgary with music and fun in the morning. They had different interests, different lifestyles but in the end they were friends.
Well... THEY’RE BACK.
For the last 4 years XL 103’s Don and Joanne have been flying without their wingman. Coach left the show at the end of 2009 for another woman, his wife, who was living and working in California.
Coach and his wife are home again and Don & Joanne couldn’t be happier.
"It's great to have Coach back, we missed him,” said Don & Joanne. “He missed 2010, 11, 12 & 13. Apparently he took his work at Robert Mondavi's Winery a little too seriously.”
Coach echoes the enthusiasm, “Thrilled that we are together again on XL 103. Legendary call letters, legendary music and legendary personalities. Couldn't be a better fit."
The opportunity to bring the three together kind of fell in the lap of XL 103 Program Director Al Tompson. “Coach was moving back to Calgary, we had an opening and voila here we are,” says Tompson. “Don, Joanne & the Coach are Calgary staples. They’ve done so much for the community and the community has done so much for them. We’re thrilled at the chance to reunite them.”
Don, Joanne & the Coach can be heard on XL 103.1 FM starting Monday morning February 10.
