From the Grady McCue aircheck collection -
It was an Edmonton Oilers game day in late January 1987.
We have the end of Grady McCue's shift and the start of Allan Mitchell's on Edmonton's 1260 CFRN with "Memorable Music and More."

Grady spent nearly 30 years with the station. Including time as the drive home host and a production coordinator. His voice was heard on a number of radio and television ads throughout Alberta.
Before joining CFRN, Graydon was on Canadian Forces Radio in Germany and worked with RadioWest charter member Tom Jeffries at CKPG Prince George.
In 1982, Graydon edited and mixed CFRN's "A Tribute To The Oilers" 45 - https://www.discogs.com/release/1229761 ... ton-Oilers
Side 2 of the 7" vinyl release celebrated Rod Phillips' 10th anniversary as the play by play voice of the Oilers.
Proceeds from the record's sale went to the Edmonton chapter of Alberta Special Olympics.
Graydon is retired in Spruce Grove and makes musical instruments including violins - https://www.sprucegroveexaminer.com/ent ... sician-use
The Edmonton Broadcasters' site has a couple of photos of Grady and his CFRN Radio colleagues from the early 1970s -

Currently, Allan Mitchell is host of TSN 1260 Edmonton's "The Lowdown with Lowetide" weekdays from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon - https://www.tsn.ca/radio/edmonton-1260/lowetide
He also has a Twitter account that is popular with Edmonton Oilers' fans - https://twitter.com/lowetide
During the Oilers' 2006 Stanley Cup run, Allan posted a "lucky" photo of former Oiler, Stan Weir, which some superstitiously credited with propelling the team's amazing Stanley Cup run.
Thank you, Grady!
