From the RadioWest aircheck archives -

Our friend and jingle contributor, Frank Martina, on Vernon's 94 CJIB from a Thursday morning in mid-August 1993. The late Glen Morrison has the news. Ed Whalen's syndicated "Good News" is also featured along with David Suzuki for Equinox magazine.

I'm numb hearing Frank play "A Whiter Shade of Pale." That sure wasn't on the playlist when I worked up there in 1977. It was pretty much MOR during the day.

Vernon wasn't a good fit for me. I was replaced with one G. Morrison.

So the clip ultimately played for me; what a great listen! Never heard any of Frank's work up until this aircheck, but I really like his warm friendly delivery coupled with the full service elements of smalltown radio. I also recognized the voice of a very young-sounding Buzz Bishop (likely working hear under his real name ;) leading into the Cash Call segment. if memory serves, CJIB was more of a Hot AC/CHR by the early 2000s, although this was perhaps dayparted to the evenings, where Jonny Staub worked at the time.
