Russ, a dear and dearly missed friend, has kept the lowest of profiles in recent years. Last I heard as an update many years back now, he was residing in Calgary, doing what I don’t know; not radio.
Newsreader Lisa Whitmore was a recent BCIT grad at CFUN at this time in 1984. She later anchored for Global TV in Toronto for a couple of years in 89/90, then returned to the left coast to open a wine making and sales business in Comox.
She’s a happy story; the business is still successful at 25 years and Lisa herself just remarried this past fall.
