Sadly we don't have audio of RadioWest member mike marshall from his time at 630 CHED and 930 CJCA in Edmonton but we do have this short clip of him from September 1978 on 680 CFTR Toronto -

Mike Marshall CFTR September 1978

Michael John Brodie Marshall, started his career at CHOW Welland, Ontario while still in high school moving on to his first full-time on air position with CKKW in Kitchener in early 1960. In late 1960 he joined CHML Hamilton, Mike is a second generation broadcaster. He is the son of the late Norm Marshall, legendary sportscaster at CHML radio and CHCH television in Hamilton and member of Canadian Football Hall of Fame (http://www.sportsmediacanada.ca/?p=4108).

Mike was at CFTR between 1972 and 1974 before returning in 1977 to host mid-days until his move to CKFH in late 1979.

He joined 630 CHED in December 1963, moving on to CJCA in the summer of '64 then returning to CHED in mid-1965 before leaving for the Big 8 CKLW Windsor/Detroit in the fall of 1966 where he was known as Frank Brodie.

The Pub is located at 7725 Champlain Crescent in the Champlain Heights area and is run by a radio guy, Chris Larke (Chief Engineer at Bell Vancouver) and his wife Mary.

We hope to see the regulars along with some new faces on the 5th!
