This week we celebrate the life of Gord Robson with three new airchecks from three eras of his almost 40 year broadcasting career.

First up, we take you back to March of 1976 when Gord was handling Mid Days at Vancouver's CKLG. The music is scoped, commercials are unscoped.

Gord's last stop in the world of radio was at CHQT (COOL 880). For the past year, Gord was on air in PM Drive and was the station's Music Director. His last show on COOL 880 was Thursday March 13th, the day before it was announced that the station would become an all news operation in May.

Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who couldn't hear the music.

I still miss Gord. What a freak'n shame. He was a mentor to me. Like Robin Williams...here's another one that just doesn't make sense. I wish I could have been there for him. :salute:

One of my favourite all time people, and I miss him, too. He was a wonderful fellow. Unforgettable.
