Thank you to David Arndt for an aircheck of Don McGregor (Program Director) from February 21, 1965 on KOMA AM 1520, Oklahoma City.

KOMA, owned by Storz, was one of the few clear channel stations on the great plains to air Top 40 full time (back to 1958) and was known to overmodulate its signal giving it a very large young audience. KOMA was a “conelrad” station and was supposed to keep broadcasting in case of nuclear attack.

Other KOMA jocks included Charlie Tuna, Chuck Dann, and J. Michael Wilson.
