Our salute to the 100th anniversary of 960 CFAC Radio in Calgary continues all this month.

Cremona, Alberta's Dan Butler followed the Ned Corrigall morning show each weekday on Calgary's 960 CFAC in 1982. Foxy John (Jack Fox) had left for sister station CKWX in Vancouver and Dan moved from evenings as Foxy's successor on the station's long-standing morning requests and dedications show. Dan would go on to host the CFAC afternoon drive show later in the mid-'80s, when Brian Currie left for sister station CJVI Victoria.

He started his 40+ year radio career in the sports department of CKXL Calgary. He went on to work at competitors CFCN and CFAC Radio. Most recently, Dan was part of the Chuckwagon Radio Network and All Hit Country 96.5 CKFM in Olds, Alberta.
