Thank you to SoundCloud's David Arndt for this week's aircheck. It's a lengthy scoped one featuring over 90 minutes from KISN and KGW Portland/Vancouver in 1972.

KISN "Good Guy" morning man Michael James Anthony O'Brien (also of CKXL Calgary and CKY Winnipeg) is heard on location for the Thunderbird Village apartment complex.

KISN was using PAMS Solid Rock jingles while KGW used the Johnny Mann Drake Double A package.

"Call me at BAG-SLAB . . ." Phil Harper, KGW

Michael O’Brien retired from a long run in radio in 1995 and was last heard from in Port Orchard Washington, near Bremerton, then pursuing a passion for radio in a different way; restoring vintage receivers.

That was in 2003. By the time I arrived in the same neighborhood in 2006, O’Brien and the radio shop had disappeared.
He was last spotted around 2015 at a Puget Sound Antique Radio Association sale in Seattle.
I remember well his relatively short but popular run as morning man for CKXL in Calgary; talented, personable and possessing an entertaining knack for the prank phone call bit.
