CKHJ's nighttime power has been at 32 watts for years now. Daytime coverage barely reaches outside city limits, and nighttime barely reaches the city core. I don't think anybody listens to the AM frequency as the FM has the entire capital region covered for the most part. Only reason they haven't scrapped the AM tower is because of the market ownership limit.

It just showed up on the database as being such last month. I can only report the information as it is presented.

Most likely explanation is that ISEDC did not formally approve the night-time operation until now. It wouldn't be the first time that a station was in Test Phase for a very long time.

Pure Country 103.5 (as it is known) has two FM rimshot repeaters that cover Fredericton just fine. Just turn this AM off

If it wasn't for the 2 FM station market limit, I'm sure Bell would have applied years ago to convert to FM.

Given Pure Country is near the bottom for commercial English radio ratings in Fredericton (I believe), I'm surprised Bell didn't just include CKHJ in the 45 stations they are set to sell. I'm sure MBS Radio would have been down to get a foothold in Fredericton.
