STATION DEFUNDED
ON OTTAWA 93.1 CKCU Students at Carleton University have voted to defund this College station. The long term implications are unknown at this time, but they will likely not be good. CKCU first went on the air in 1975.

STATIONS OFF THE AIR
NL GRAND FALLS-WINDSOR 540 CBT The CBC permanently shut this 10,000 watt station down on December 1, 2023 after it converted to 93.3 FM with 100,000 watts. On the air since 1949.
ON OTTAWA 1310 CIWW Rogers permanently shut this 50,000 watt station down on September 26, 2023. On the air since 1922. Was All News "CITY NEWS".

QC ROUGEMONT 103.5 CIFM 50 watts. Unknown format.
SK NORTH BATTLEFORD 100.5 CHBT 47 watt Tourist Info station.

NL L'ANSE AU CLAIR 105.3 Community. 500 watts. Variety (bilingual). Will simulcast CFBS 89.9 Blanc Sablon, QC.
NU KUGAARUK 89.9 Indigenous. 41 watts. Variety. The Hamlet of Kugaaruk.
ON' TYENDINAGA 89.5 Indigenous. 2,100 watts. Variety. Tsi Tyónnheht Onkwawén:na Language and Cultural Centre.

TECHNICAL CHANGES GRANTED
BC CRANBROOK 102.9 CHDR Decrease power from 1.600 to 1,100 watts. Lower antenna height.

EXTENSIONS GRANTED
BC SALTSPRING ISLAND 107.9 CHIR The Gulf Islands Community Radio Society has until January 24, 2025 to launch this new 850 watt Community station and its 18 watt rebroadcaster
CHIR-1 102.1 on Saltspring Island South.
MB OKNO 107.9 CFCD Interlake Mennonite Fellowship Church of Arborg has until May 10, 2024 to launch this new 340 watt German & English Religious station.
ON LONGLAC 107.1 CFNO-5 North Superior Broadcasting has until March 10, 2024 to increase the power from 4 to 125 watts and lower the antenna height.
ON NAKINA 107.1 CFNO-7 North Superior Broadcasting has until March 10, 2024 to increase the power from 49 to 110 watts and raise the antenna height.

CRTC APPLICATIONS

PROPOSED NEW STATIONS
ON MINDEN 97.1 Community. 27 watts. Variety. Will simulcast CKHA 100.9 Haliburton.
QC WENDAKE 100.3 Indigenous. 400 watts. Variety. Comite de la radio Communautaire Huronne-Wyandot incorporated.Station has been operating without a licence for a number of years (as CIHW). The application is designed to deal with fixing that problem.

PROPOSED TECHNICAL CHANGES
AB LETHBRIDGE LETHBRIDGE 94.1 CJOC Raise antenns height.
AB LETHBRIDGE LETHBRIDGE 98.1 CKBD Increase power from 20,000 to 99,000 watts. Lower antenna height. Relocate transmitter to existing CJOC 94.1 site.
MB THOMPSON 99.8 CKSB-6 Increase power from 86 to 88 watts. Lower antenna height.
QC FERMONT 105.1 CBMR Increase power from 16 to 240 watts. Raise antenna height/ Change radiation pattern from non-directional to directional.
