The correct answer is 5!

The rumour is that all Corus music intensive stations will be stopping the music 5 times an hour for spots by the end of summer. Dave FM has started already!

Imagine Christmas when the stopsets are all sold out.

At least Clear Channel has figured out that less spots is better.

They still hit 12 songs an hour daytime, the same as CHYM and KOOL. The challenge will be to show restraint and for programming to stick to their guns come Christmas.

If you're the only station in the market doing it, it could be an advantage.

No spots on my ipod. Who needs those guys for music? I just got back from a walk and about ever other person had the white earbuds.

From what I understand, they will be very short stopsets, indeed. What would you rather sit through?
