Anyone remember the Canadian Association of Broadcasters

Postby PicturesForYourEars » Sun Aug 04, 2013 11:09 pm

Based in Ottawa, the CAB had a member's 'syndicated programs' exchange.

I understand the CAB Special Programming office is long gone but, does anyone happen to have access to any of their old archieved specials ?????

I seem to recall CHUM would get the CAB to distribute their awesome year end specials, for example.

There's a couple of shows in particular I would love to get my ears on again...

Any leads?

There also was a CAB produced video about careers in radio in which I had a part when I was working at CHUM in the '70s.
I had a copy of it long ago but it disappeared with most of my other radio memorabilia during my move west in 2001.
I'd love to get a copy of that as well.
CHUM did distribute a lot of specials through CAB.
They also used to honour broadcasters for years of service.
I have a 25 year pin and certificate but they pretty much went out of business before I reached 50 years.
The only 50 year pin I've actually seen is worn by News 1130s Andy Walsh.
