CKST-CFTE Transmitter Site

Postby Dan Sys » Thu Nov 30, 2023 9:50 pm

Can anyone who travels the 99 through Delta tell me if there are any visible signs of dismantling Bell's CKST 1040-CFTE 1410 (former) transmitter site in the Boundary Bay area? Just curious and I don't want to waste half a tank of gas to find out. Thanks.

As of 10:34 pm tonight (Dec 2nd 2023) all 7 towers are still standing with full daytime strobe and nighttime red tower lighting along with the shacks at the base of each tower. Doesn't seem like Bell Media is in any hurry to remove them.
Cheers,

Thank you very much Phil. Makes me wonder if Bell has "actually" permanently shut them down or are they going to hang on to them for a possible future sale. That equipment is relatively new and has many years of life left, Where is Neeti P. Ray when you need him? lol
