Another significant broadcaster who passed during my time away was Tom Tompkins.

After his time at CKXL Calgary, Tom was the founding music director of CJAY Calgary and not long after the station's launch, led by Ralph Connors, Tom became its second program director after Ross Davies, CJAY's founding program director, left for CHUM FM Toronto.

Was he also not the commercial voice for Calgary's Bow Cycle?
