Thanks to Bruce Atchison for Bob's last show on 630 CHED Edmonton which is posted above.
Bob had two significant eras of influence on listeners and future radio broadcasters, including the now retired Bruce Bowie, Ed Bain of Victoria's 100.3 the Q! and Chris Scheetz of CISN FM, during his time in Edmonton radio.
One where he was pulling a near 50 share in weekday afternoons from 3 to 6 pm in the early to mid-'70s on CHED while playing Top 40 hits and a second as not only the founder of Country music station CISN FM but also as its first morning show host, leading it to one of the most successful launches in Canadian radio.
viewtopic.php?p=12863236For a time in the mid-'60s CHED's on air lineup saw former CHAM Hamilton GM Don Kay on from 1 to 4 pm, followed by Mike Marshall hosting from 4 to 8 pm, and Bob McCord from 8 to 12 Midnight. All of them very talented gentlemen.
