Seattle Radio History Book (Arcadia)

Welcome to our friends from the Seattle area who lost their radio message board in early December ...

Seattle Radio History Book (Arcadia)

Postby LITTLERIC » Sat Dec 07, 2013 11:38 am

For those interested in buying yourself an end-of-year fun gift....I bought a copy of a new paperback from Arcadia Publishing about early years of Seattle radio (up to late part of 20th century). Some great pic's and stories, and a good companion book to the late David Richardson (out of print) book called "Puget Sounds" (though possible Museum of History still has copies of that one in their gift shop).

Barnes & Noble has it:

and if you don't mind paying a couple extra bucks and supporting the PUBLISHER who stepped up to back the project, buy it directly from them:

Looks like the same series as the WLS and WCFL history books. Nice!

The older "Puget Sounds" is fairly cheap and easy to buy, especially on the used market on-line.

For Canadians, when you include shipping, this is probably the best deal:

$16.93 Canadian with free shipping

There is, however, a small risk that Customs will nab the book and charge you $5 admin + GST. Never had it happen to me when I buy from these folks in the U.K.

Just ordered a copy from Book Depository. I've ordered from them a few times before and usually it's in my mailbox in less than a week.

I still have my original copy of Puget Sounds that i bought at Coquitlam Centre back in December of 1980 or '81.

Mine isn't here yet, but it was only shipped December 12th, so I'm not surprised or worried. Looking forward to it.

I see that the price is still $16.93 Canadian with free shipping.
