While checking out stuff on YouTube -
I found three postings of some audio recordings of performances from CHED Bandstand which according to the YouTube poster aired Saturday afternoons from 1 until 2.

The posting lists the MC as Keith James (Sr.)
The end of the posting features what sounds like the PAMS Series 16 news cut. Only thing is the cut was originally recorded as "Action Central News For Edmonton" not "Actual News For Edmonton" I have no idea if it's a recording error or if CHED edited the jingle.
