CKYL had to move off 630 before CHED could move there. And CHED had to move off of 1080 before CKSA could move there. Knowing the CKYL and CKSA dates helps narrow down the CHED date.
Over the last 5 years, there has been a lot of talk and general interest (among those interested in Edmonton radio history) about the date of the CHED frequency change, especially since CCF's broadcasting-history.ca used to list it as the late 1960s.
