Greetings,
Thanks very much RadioFan for all the additional information on CKLG 1070!!! I was really surprised by how the other Vancouver radio station welcomed them so warmly. Great stuff, shows how friendly things were in radio back in the 1950s!!! Thanks for the transmitter info. as well. Also thanks ve7rox for your info. and map showing the transmitter location in North Vancouver. Still wondering about how many towers 1070 LG might have used in North Vancouver. When I get back out to B.C. this fall I will go over there and check the former locations out, of course I am sure any transmitter site stuff is long gone! Will be interesting to see if the studio location building is still there off Lonsdale but that might have been torn down and redeveloped long ago too!!

Yes I see the Gibson Brothers were the owners. That includes Gordon Gibson who later became quite high profile in B.C. Politics. By the way is he still alive? Haven't heard much about him in recent years!!!
