welcome haz - I see that I have a CJJC van picture in this thread as well.

who sent that picture to me - was it TW?

now if Lichota would show up we could throw tubes at each other - lol

Not quite, RF. It stood for Central Fraser Valley Radio.

As for the Christ/Redeemer thing, I don't believe it. I've seen a list of the first day's programming for CJOR, and there's no religious programming at all that I can recall. It was the usual highbrow orchestral/vocal stuff you'd have heard on other stations in the mid 1920s. The Jesus thing is one of those tales that just gets repeated over and over.
