Not quite, RF. It stood for Central Fraser Valley Radio.

As for the Christ/Redeemer thing, I don't believe it. I've seen a list of the first day's programming for CJOR, and there's no religious programming at all that I can recall. It was the usual highbrow orchestral/vocal stuff you'd have heard on other stations in the mid 1920s. The Jesus thing is one of those tales that just gets repeated over and over.

CHUB = Hub City

CKOK -- Okanagan
CKOK-FM to CKOR - FM -- Okanagan Radio to CKMG-FM -- Magic FM
CKSP -- Summerland Peachland
CKOO -- Oliver/Osoyoos
CKGF -- Grand Forks
CKRP - Radio Princeton
CKGO -- at Hope - didn't mean anything it was available and it worked.
